~Tribute to my Father ---"Shadrack"~

This poem is a tribute,
To a man like no other.
A man full of heart and Pride,
A man who was like my brother.

He wore the handle "SHADRACK",
Which fit him to a "T"
This man was always number One,
As he was always there for me.

He passed a week after Daytona,
Seeming to wait for my return,
Knowing his time has come,
And showing his love was Firm.

This was a man who I admired,
A man I looked up too,
Whenever there were rough times,
He was there to help me through.

Yes this man was my "FATHER",
And now that he is gone,
Never lost someone so close,
Everything seems so Wrong.

Can't say I was never warned,
As Dad came to me in a Dream,
Saying he would soon have to leave,
And forever it may seem.

So, I knew Dad was leaving,
Before it was his time,
But as he said to me in my dream,
That everything will turn out fine.

In knowing that day would come,
The day Dad would leave,
Not understanding why?,
From his life he would be releaved.

So, this poem is for you DAD,
Just to let you know,
How much you meant to me,
Had to let my feelings Show.

You always called me "Johnny",
As my bro's call me Lone Biker,
But in all Reality Dad,
I was always your striker.

I see my life will move on,
Remembering what I was Told,
"Be strong my boy",
"Be strong till you grow old",

So, "GoodBye" my Father,
And "GoodBye" my close Friend,
Not having you around,
Always wondering why it had to End.
